Around 2 months ago I purchased a Sniper 2100 USB mouse. The device has worked perfectly with one issue that frequently comes up.
50% of the time when I boot up my system the mouse is not recognized by Win XP. I receive the pop-up message from the system tray indicating this. And of course, the cursor will not move.
If I remove the USB connection and reconnect several times it will eventually pick it up. Generally this takes less than 5 attempts.
1: I have never had an issue with the mouse loosing connection while the system is on, its only that it is not recognized during boot up. Once its recognized, all is well
2: The USB port itself seems fine. This issue occurs regardless of which port I use and none of them have an issue when connecting my UPS via USB connection. Seems to only be the mouse.
Any ideas? Thanks.
