usb headset w/dial pad for softphone???

hey guys,

i have a customer who is looking to get a new phone system. they have looked at...i think...the NEC which has softphones. the thing is this...they said they have USB headsets that plug into the computer that has a dial pad....almost like a single line home phone??? we are going to try and sell the ip office with softphones....will any type of headset like this work with the softphones??

just wondering if anyone has seen this or heard of this.
