Currently I have a path 3 set up. Path 31 takes me to a mail box.

I need to create a new path "1" that will take me to path 31. Can I do that?

Because of this issue, now I can't even enable the CCR tree. My system is down! :-(

If you already have a path 1 built just change it but then the sub would have to be 1 1 not 3 1.

Thanks for the fast response!

So, path 31 currently leads to mailbox 50. Can the new path 11 also lead to the the same mail box i.e. 50?

Yes. It goes where you tell it. You can make all 8 the same path.

One more question. At which point while programming a CCR tree would I enter a double digit path i.e. 11?

When you need to have like dial 1 for service then under that for washers press 1 for refriges press 2 and so on.

I am not able to get around it.

Can someone provide me with phone support? I have donated this system to a place of worship and I would like the system to be up asap.

I don't mind paying for it if I have to?

I can be reached at 510-468-9107 (or 408-935-8740 this morning only). Thanks in advance.

More info .. Just to get the system up again, I erased Path 1 that I had recently created.

But I still can not enable the ccr tree! It says incomplete tree. I had path 3 and 4 working for several years!

What gives?

Desparate ...

The tree will be incomplete until you have recorded a greeting under path 0. Do you have any other sub menus setup (i.e., Path 21 or 31)???

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

Thanks for the tip.

I will make sure I have something recorded in greeting in Path 0.

What I currently have is pressing 3, takes me to a submenu (31?) which allows callers to leave a msg in Mailbox 50, then Disconnect.

What I want is that pressing 1 (instead of 3) should take me to submenu (11?) and allowing callers to access MB 50 and leave message and disconnect. But I get Incomplete tree message and then I can't enable the tree.

QUESTION: Do I have to input path by actually entering 11 (eleven)?

And why do I get Incomplete Tree error.

Regards,

RB

Paths are identified by the digits you press to get there, so path 3 is a menu, then option 1(option 3,1) is a leave msg.

If you want the caller to goto mb 50 when pressing 1, then program path 1 as a leave msg mb 50, too -not a menu.

Thanks Rik for the quick response?

So to be sure. Let's say I choose path 2. Then, path 2 is a menu, and option 1 (option 2,1) is a leave msg? Then by pressing 2, I would be able to go to MB 50 and leave a message. Right?

Also, a minor point. While programming the CCR, would I ever enter 21 (Twentyone0 as a path entry? Or does the program know I am in submenu and I have to enter only 1 (not 21)?

Nope. In your example, if you want the caller to press 2 to go to mb 50, then program path 2 as a leave msg to mb 50.

A menu branch is designed to play a second message to the caller, like-

Path 0-

For sales, press 2, for accounting press 3.

A caller presses 2, and if you want a "submenu", then path 2 is a menu branch.

The caller hears "For east coast sales (MB 242), press 1, for west coast sales (MB 312), press 2"

Then path 21 would be leave msg mb 242, because the caller pressed 2, then 1 to get there. Path 22 would be leave msg mb 312, for the same reason.

If the customer just wanted all sales calls to go to one mailbox, say 242, then path 2 would be a leave msg to mb 242, not a menu branch.

Hope this helps.

You can also record silence in Path 0 to get around the Incomplete Tree Error.

Thanks Rik. I understand that it is ok to eneter two digit path numbers i.e. 21.

Also, thanks safeharbor. Since I have paths 3 and 4 working for several years, path 0 could not be an issue. I do have silence recorded there.

RB
