In usual Avaya style, ATAC have come back with no useful answer, so I am reaching out to the experts ;)

Does anyone know if the IP500 TRNK PRI UNI SINGLE module, in an IP500 r7 will support I431 and Q921 layer 2 and 3 protocols, as I have a partner who needs to install IP500 in Singapore, they need to order ISDN10,20 or 30 over there, and dont use the same I421/Q931 protocols as we do.

All I need to know is if the E1 module will work in Singapore, I just need a slightly more comprehensive answer than:

"Sorry but we are not familiar with the specification in Singapore. Your local Distributor should be able to provide assistance.

In the US we have not heard of any issues with the PRI card."
(As provided by ATAC Technicenter)

I have checked Knowledge Base, Support site, IPO r7 Compatibility Matrix, and dont know where to go with this now.

Thanks ppl.

Simon

I am not sure if this will help you but you can create an offline configuration and choose Singapore as your country, this will automatically switch your PRI-U to what it is typically used there (PRI30), you can then explore the setting to see if you can match it to the service they are going to order over there.

Both I431 and Q921 are parts of the ETSI E-ISDN technique so if the provider complies with the ETSI recommendations ( very unlikely they don't ) then there is no problem.
If you order a partial PRI ISDN then in IP Office set it up as a full PRI with 30 channels, usually the channel allocation is done by the provider.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Again, thank you, I will pass this on, I will keep the channel licenses in reserve in case needed, but tried the off line config suggestion trinetintl above, and with the locale changed, this setup the same using ETSI, as the UK.
If the I431 and Q921 supported in ETSI, then I think we are good to go.
