Upgrading IP Office with UCM from R8.1 to R9.0

Hi guys, may I know if below steps on upgrading the IPO with UCM from R8.1 to 9 are right? Of course, I already have my upgrade license file. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Steps:
1. Upgrade IPO.
2. Upgrade UCM.

Question:
1. Do I need to change the IP address of IPO LAN1 to its default (192.168.42.1) for me to communicate the newly version of UCM?

I would like to hear your experiences on this. Thanks guys!

you can communicate with the UCM on whichever IP Address the IPO has wen performing the initial setup

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

hi IPGuru, so you mean, example IP of my LAN1 is 192.168.28.11, i can access the UCM using 192.168.28.11:7070?

am i right with the steps in upgrade?

The UCM card has it's own IP address but communicated through 169.x.x.x
I would upgrade the UCM first and then the IPO.

And of course you have to upgrade using a USB memory device. Not the Web browser....
