Hello,

We are planing to upgrade an IP Office 412 5.0 to 500v2 7.0. I understand that with a licence of upgrade all the licences of CCC, Voice Mail Pro, etc will pass to the new sistem, and that if I buy the carrier card for the VCMs I'll get IP Phones Licenses.

The question is about the upgrade process. The IP 412 has a dongle diferent from the SD of the IP Office 500v2, and I think this new dongle (SD) will have a diferent ID. How can I migrate the licences?, Avaya will do that? There is something that I have to know about this process?

Maybe you have done this process, please if you can explain it to me.

Thank you.

You need to do a license swap.
This means you will get new licenses on a new dongle.
You need to return the old dongle within a certain time otherwise you will be charged for the new licenses.

Second, CCC will not work on anything higher then 5.0.
So 6.0, 6.1 and 7.0 do not work with CCC.
You need to buy an upgrade license for CCC to CCR.
Do this after the swap is done.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

So, when I get the new hardware I have to give to the distributor the older licenses and the new ID so they can give me back the licences for the new ID, is it ok?

And I've just read about the license for CCR, so I buy this licence and the older licences become valid for the new system. But they should have bought this license for the upgrade to 5.0, or is not necesary?

Thank you :).

When you have the new IP500v2 and the dongle then ask for the swap.
Then ask for the ccc to ccr upgrade.
Do this when the swap is done.

OK, but I guess that all this can be boutght at once... because generate 2 Orders it's dificult. And the delay for the instalation will be longer.

Avaya really doesn't help... :(
