I have an MICS 7.0 with 2 caller id cards in slot 3 and 4 and a 2 port fiber module in slot 2. I want to keep the 2 port fiber module and one CID card in the system, which order should the cards be placed in?

I am assuming you are going to PRI? The new DTI card should go on the right hand slot. The spare CID should go on the left hand side slot. Your fiber card should be just fine where it is. Just a NOTE: If you are going to PRI you will need a PRI enabler keycode, and also you will need a combo card next to that 2 port fiber card. The PRI enabler keycode lets you program the system for PRI, and the combo card is what keeps the timing. Without them you would be SOL.

So my order would be services card, 2 port fiber, CID then t1 pri? What would the line numbers be in this case?

Yes that is correct. It depends on the software version. Your pri would be 1 to 24 and the Caller ID card would start at 025 or 031 depending on the software. You can tell that by scrolling through the lines when in programming. Hope that helps good luck.

So basically the only trunks that will require reprogramming will be 1-4 because 31-34 are in slot 3?

A T-1 will be lines 001-024, a PRI will be lines 001-023 and 024 is the D channel. This is if your getting a full T-1, do you know if your getting a fractional or full?
