Upgrade MICS 4.1DR to 5.0DR process?

I have only done one upgrade to this MICS system many years ago, from 3.0 to 4.1. This was done with the upgrade tool. My NVRAM cartridge is Rel 1. I would like to upgrade to 5.0.

Do I just power down and swap the memory card and power back up?

Power down the MICS and pull out the 4.1 software cartridge only leave the RAM cartridge installed, install the 5.0 software cartridge and power up. Let the MICS do it's thing sometimes it can take awhile for the MICS to come up. After the MICS comes up plug the voicemail back in.

You did not say if the MICS has voicemail or not you may have a voicemail that is not compatible with 5.0. You need to check that also.

Thanks, I do have a Startalk Flash running V2.0, which I believe is compatable with MICS 5.0.

So I should disconnect the Startalk while restarting? Should I disconnect the Amp connectors then restart, reconnect and restart again?

I also have a BRI card, so I know when MICS is fully up when the BRI LEDs stop flashing.

It's not up until you have time/date and dialtone. It might take a while, and you don't want to do anything rash. So, go have dinner and come back. No need to pull amphenols, but disconnecting Vmail is not a bad idea.
