upgrade IPO 500 from Rls 5 to 6

Hi,

I need to upgrade Ip 500 form Rls 5.0(24) to Rls. 6.0(18) or 6.1. I read in tech bulletin that first I need a licence. Can someone tell me what licence I need? Thanks.

It depends on how much extensions you have.
If <32 then the small upgrade license
If >32 then the normal one.

tlpeter is correct. Here are the licenses for R6 and 6.1:

229420 IPO LIC UPGRADE R6.0
229421 IPO LIC UPGRADE R6.0 (less than 32)

262694 IPO LIC UPGRADE R6.1
262695 IPO LIC UPGRADE R6.1 (less than 32)

Just an FYI on Upgrading.. if your on 6.0 ( not sure about 5.0)you can go to 6.1 without a license if the system is less than 90 days old..

This only applies to a IP500v2 which he hasn't.

It is a 100 but they say 90.
Thisgives you ten extra days so you canbot be one or two days too late.

Out of curiousity what happens if it is beyond 100 days and you try to upgrade? Does allow you to and then trash the system or it will not allow you to upgrade..

It will let you upgrade but only alarm numbers can be dailed.
You can see if you need a license.
When you have the new manager and you try to upgrafe then you will see the system.
It then shows the required license and the license in the system.
The required license will show a 2 for 6.0 or a 3 for 6.1
When it shows 255 then you are within those 90 days and you can upgrade for free.
