Besides the upgrade license to 8.1 what else will I require my supplier says nothing else is needed but I don't feel confident with that answer. Here is the list of licenses installed, and if this is the case do I go directly to 8.1 or is there other steps required.

2 - IP500 Universal PRI
1 - UPGRADE STANDARD TO PROFESSIONAL
20 - VCM CHANNELS
12 - VOICE NETWORKING CHANNELS
10 - PHONE MANAGER PRO (per seat)
10 - PHONE MANAGER PRO IP AUDIO ENABLED (users)
1 - SOFTWARE UPGRADE 6 (R8.1)

I CURRENTLY HAVE 40 5610SW IP PHONES IN SERVICE

I appreciate your assistance before I proceed.

You will need an essential edition license otherwise it will go in basic mode.
Do you have any PRI additional channels? i don't see them.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Also, you need to go to 7.0 or 8.0 before going to 8.1.

You don't need the essential licence, a 500 v1 will not switch to quick mode when upgrading :)

You are right.
I always seem to forget that :)
So you must have a good supplier.
I guess they need to learn to tell you why you do or don't need something.
