Hi Everyone,

At present I have an Index CPU X200 (11.0.4) with a DASS 30 card connected to the BT NTE 2D via 2 BNC Cables.

If I upgrade to a IP Office 406 V2 with a primary rate ISDN card can I just use the RJ45 outlet on the BT NTE 2D or do I need BT to do any reconfiguring?

Even though the card is a DASS I am led to believe that the line was changed to ISDN 30 back in 2008

Thanks

Mick

Why a 406 ?
It is end of sale for more then a year now !
All new features are only made for the 500 so i would buy a 500 instead of 406 !
Also all support stopped for 3.2 and lower
So the old index phones are not supported anymore and if you have problem, which can happen, then you have a problem
If you upgrade then do it right and invest a bit more

To answer your question, i would make sure it is an ISDN 30 !

If the lines were changed to ETSI from DASS it wouldn't be presented on BNC it would be RJ45. I would also go for a 500 over the 406, even though you get a lot more for less money with a 406 it will be left behind with future releases and you have already missed out on mobility features before it even goes in :)

if you had been converted to E-pri your DASS30 cassette would not be working.

BT will need to convert the Circuit to E-priforthe IPO to work

I would have to agree with the advice to go for an IP500 & replace your existing handsets.
there is little sense in replacing one obsolete system with another, you will just find yourself in the same position in a very short time.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your advice, the reason I am using IP Office 406 is that I already have the kit and handsets from a company we bought out. So for now it will do the trick as all our other offices are IP Office 406 (ISDN2E)

Thanks

Mick
