Upgrade 3300 mitel / 6510 issue

We just upgraded our 3300 to the latest version (8.XX). We also have a Mitel 6510 Voice mail server (version 1.XXX). Aftre the upgrade we noticed that when an ext. is in DND, normally it would go to VM, Now it goes right back to the "main Greeting".

and for our spectralink phones if a user is on them it also does the same. We did put in place a "band aid" chaging all the DND buttons to forward alwasy to the Vm speed dial.

I first thought it was a routing thing but all routing, etc. is correct! any thoughts anybody?? PLEASE HELP..

If we can't then i will have to Dowgrade back to mitel ver. 6 or 7

Why not just use a reroute.

Ps. Did you check to ensure your COS options didn't change? Is COV/ONS/E&M Voice Mail Port enabled in the 6510s port's COS?

Right now the reroute is set up correctly. I belive it is a upgrade issuse between the two.

What happens when you call the VM from your phone? Does it ask you to login?

Internaly it works fine. Outside calls, (when the set is in DND) loops back, yet routing is set up correctly

What happens if you call from another set internally to a DND set - does it go to the right VM box?

What happens if you call from an outside line to the set that is in DND - does that go to the right VM box?

That is correcty. set to set goes to VM

Are you using Call Forward, Call Reroute, or both?

right now. the out side call hit the greeting in the 6510 the goes into the 3300. we use call rerouting to put it to VM

In the COS of the voice mail ports, what are these items set too:

- Display Transfer Destination on Recall
- Maintain Ringing Party During Recall
- Originator’s Display Update in Call

Please change one of the sets reroute to 1 (which should reroute to nothing (blank).

Then setup Call Forward All to voice mail.

Please make an internal and external call to the set.

What are your findings?
