I figure I start in this forum for my problem. I have 3 PCs with sapgui 4.6d that when I use the Business Workplace the preview panes are blank. If I open one of the documents, the pane is blank. If I right-click on the blank window and choose encoding, there is a checmark next to unicode and it is grayed. On the PCs that it works, I do not have this entry and I use Western European (windows). On the PCs where it doesn't work, I have the Western European option but when I check it it does not stick. I think this is a Windows issue but figure I start here. The users on the machines are running W2K and are administrators for the machine running Sapgui locally. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have exactly the same issue. Looking at some stuff on Internet it seems could depend by Java VM version installed on PCs but I can't determine exactly what is different between PCs where it work and those where it doesn't work.
Any suggest will be much appreciate

After looking aroung and finiding no solution I upgraded to SApgui 6.20 build 4 and that solved the problem.

2 ways to avoid this issue at the moment:
1) install SAPGUI 6.20
2) Remove the security patch Q824145 (you can find it in add/remove applications on Control Panel) for Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 but it could be dangerous because that patch has been distributed to avoid some virus attack
