We're running into an issue that involves sending email from anyone at one domain to another (domains/email changed for privacy in the sample). If anyone at ABC.com sends to XYZ.com, they get an Undeliverable return that looks like the one below:

Subject: Mail System Error - Returned Mail
This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason:
The following destination addresses were unknown (please check the addresses and re-mail the message):
<xyz@XYZ.com>
Please reply to techsupport@XYZ.com
if you feel this message to be in error.
Reporting-MTA: dns; mailhost1-sfldmi.ameritech.net
Arrival-Date: Mon, 22 Sep 2003 12:05:05 -0400
Received-From-MTA: dns; pimout5-ext.prodigy.net (207.115.63.73)
Final-Recipient: RFC822; <xyz@XYZ.com>
Action: failed
Status: 5.1.1
------------------------------------------------
I've done quite a bit of searching online, and, while I find a lot of pages that have similar problems, no one has provided an obvious solution. Not even a place to start.
For the record:
1)neither domain uses a spam filter
2)XYZ.com is using Exchange
3)the email addresses they're sending to are confirmed as correct
4)both are using Microsoft Outlook
Appears to be some sort of DNS error, but I may be wrong.
Hope that's enough information. Thanks in advance...
