Undefined function 'Format' in expression 1

i'm trying to develop a crosstab query and the expression which the 'information' message ms access 2000 is giving me refers to is

Expr1: Format([DateOnStudy],"mmm&quot


which is a Crosstab Column Heading that we want to Group By.

I have had similar error messages using standard access functions. I found that this was due to a compilation error in a Module.

Check your references.
Open any module, go to Tools-References and see what's MISSING
