I'm trying to connect 1 laptop running NT4 to the other laptop running W2k using a crossover cable.
My NT4 laptop appears to be working fine.
In W2K I've been able to ping my loopback address and ping my host name, but unable to ping the ip address I set in a connection in the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" properties:
IP Address - 192.168.1.3
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0.
The connection also uses "Client for Microsoft Networks", "File and Printer Sharing in Microsoft Networks" and "NetBEUI Protocol".
The network card and driver are working fine, I still unstalled it and downloaded the latest driver for it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
