Unable to call out to external phone #'s. 1

Hello,

I am working on a IPO 500 V1 6.1(12). I have a phone that will not call out to external phone numbers. I have checked to make sure there is no restrictions. The extension has the same user rights as all the other phones. All other phones are able to dial out.

I traced a test call and here is what it shows:

It shows it grabs from the PRI: Line = 1, Channel 22, Q931 Message = Disconnect, Call Ref = 6260, Direction = To Switch, Cause Code = 1.

I have deleted the user profile and reprogrammed the user back into Manager but still unable to call external calls. Internal calls can be made with no problem.

Any Suggestions? Could the expansion module port be bad?

your call is dialing to line
this is a problem with your pri circuit not your user.


A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
 
Cause No. l - Unallocated (unassigned) number [Q.850]
This cause indicates that the called party cannot be reached although the called party number is in a valid format. It is not currently allocated (assigned).

That error message works both ways, it often means the User is sending its DID which the provider doesn't like or it isn't sending anything and they want a valid number sent as caller ID, I suspect the latter :)

Awesome, I will look at the caller ID setup and have them try some other phone #'s to call out and see what happens.

AND use monitor, that is a lot more detailed and self explanatory
 
you still have 7 digit dialing? (I hope otherwise that is a problem)
lucky you we have 6 area codes within local dialling range.

The issue is he is sending "Calling Party Number = 3173962768" and I'll bet that needs to match the length they send you or they don't want that number sending :)

Ok, Found the issue, The PRI doesn't recognize the 317-396-2768. The Carrier has assigned the number to another company. Since the Extension is using the 317-396-2768 for it's caller ID the PRI is basically telling me that it can't send that call out using that phone #. If that makes sense. Thanks Amriddle for pointing that out. Thanks to everyone else also for the support.
