UCM V2 bios firmware 1

If any of you haven't read it yet, read tech tip 288.

For any of you unfortunate enough to install V2 UCMs, have fun shutting it down to find out what bios it's running and if you need the update, to have to do it from the DTE port.

You don't need to shut it down to get the current firmware. We sold one and had not have to upgrade.

We got stung by the original UCM. Ending up ripping all 8 of them out and replacing them with Application Server (at our expense).

When they released the UCM2 we completely ignored it. That decision seems to have been vindicated.

What an absolute joke of a product.

my company has about 250 of the old ones in the warehouse because Avaya didn't replace all of the ones that were crap.
My boss will not have anyone sell them as we are still dealing with the fallout of some releases that cause issues and only upgrade when they cause trouble rather than spending all the man hours ahead of time.
