I haven't seen these come up before, and the manual about them didn't shed much light. I'm seeing alot of these on a customers system. They are running sip trunks, and are getting quite a lot of dropped calls and quality issues.

IP406V@ should show as a IP405 so mayb e a IP408 is a IP500?

Yep...but that's not really the issue :p

I had that error showing up on occasions

- Way too long cable runs (200+ meters)
- Faulty lan port or partially good RJ45 crimping
- Dog chewed on a cable (you might remember the mutt that is up for an electrocution)

All in common, they had calls dropping like you.

The Late Collision means that error occurred after that the first 512 bits was sent(Tx).

Kind regards

Gunnar

I could make a guess but it be as good as any other. Intrigrant may know since he received in depth training.

The IP408 is the IP500v1 which has ofcourse 8 expansion ports :)
I think it is a mismatch in the port speed or negotiate settings.
I see this for one customer with a 50 channels SIP trunk.
Every call give this (i think it is the same problem) but they have no problems at all with there speech.
In this case they have a modem directly connected to the IPO without a router.
Other customers with the same provider use a router too and do not have these error's

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
