This is a XP Pro PC SP2. Simply put, there are two taskbars at the bottom. The STart button is on the left on the second (upper) taskbar.

The right icons are inside an enlarged "box" covering both taskbars

I have chacked here and elsewhere and can't find a fix or where it is in the registry

Thanks

Try dragging it down .... sounds like it is one taskbar that has been enlarged !!!

[li]Download and apply MS-MVP Kelly Theriot's vbs repair script: [/li]

[li]To resize the taskbar move your mouse cursor to the top edge of the taskbar. When the mouse is in the correct position, the cursor should change to an arrow pointing up and down. When the cursor is in this shape, click and hold the mouse button and move the taskbar up or down, increasing or decreasing the size of the taskbar[/li]

[li]Or, at startup hit the F8 key early and often and select Safe Mode. Restart from Safe Mode and select this time Normal mode.[/li]

It wasn't a drag problem, dragging it only made the TB go off to the bottom

The VBS repair script worked! It does reset some of the settings for the selcted visible toolbars.

THANKS
