I have an IP500V2 running V7 and can not get the system to send the originating party caller ID information to be passed to a twinned cellular phone. It always shows the DID # of the extension. This is a SIP only implementation with PhonePower.com

I have,
System -> Twinning -> Unchecked send original party info
Line -> Send Caller ID -> Tried all configuration

I have checked with technical support at phonepower.com and they respect and utilize the diversion, RPID and PAID headers.

I have one outbound short code and do not utilize ARS. The short code is 9N; | DIAL | N"@xx.xx.xx.xx"
I've also tried 9N; | DIAL | NSS"@xx.xx.xx.xx"

Help please! and Thank you!

I'm not that familiar with sip implementations, but this sounds EXACTLY like what in the PRI world would be called a call screening table at the central office.

Unless the call screening table is removed, the CO switch will remove the "extraneous" CLID being sent and replace it with the billing number or DID to maintain the integrity of E911 services.

In our serving area, you can have the call screening table removed, but the customer needs to sign a E911 waiver talking responsiblity for CLID sent from their IPO.

Is there a SIP equivalent to this??? sounds like there is, from the symptoms.

Good thinking, although locally I've had a good deal of experience with PRI's, none of the TELCO's use this table. So I set a test, I forced one of my extension to use a CLID that isn't one of my DID's. Funny enough it sent our main billing number which we don't even use. So I have a ticket into them to see if the screening table might be an issue.

I would be VERY surprised if there not some kind telco-based call screening done on PRI's in all areas... it would be anarchy if it was otherwise. Call-spoofing would be the norm, not the exception.

It might be called something else, but it needs to exist. Either that or E911 ignore the CLID and asks for an address every single time a call comes in, and then what happens when the person can't speak due to their condition or injuries?

I dunno... but for our area, call-screening happens on EVERY PRI, and there's all sorts of hoops you have to jump through to get call-screening removed.
