Hello,

I am trying to setup a trusted location, so that if a user calls from his cell, he can access his voicemail directly without being asked for extension number and pin
But so far I am not very successful

Equipment is:
IP403 Office 3.2 (69)
phone 4414D+
Wizard 5.2 (69)
software is PRO, NOT lite

I already put in the cell number with a V in source number as well as the extension number itself

I programmed a button on the office phone so that he can excess his voicemail directly without being asked ext+pin
(advanced->voicemail->voicemailcollect and left phone number blank)

I wrote that it could be because voicemail is not in IP office mode, it could be in Intuity mode. But I don't know how to check this

Hopefully somebody can help me

Thank you already!
Ben

do you have an incoming call route to a destination of Voicemail?

if that fails try switching to IP office mode (much nicer anyway)

I do not Have A.D.D. im just easily, Hey look a Squirrel!

How can I switch to IP office mode?

it may be also worth customising the default collect start point
rout the calls straight to a get mail action & intuity mode will no longer need to prompt for extn number

They need to put the Intuity features into IP Office mode and ditch Intuity mode....it sucks :)

PERFECT THX!!

It does now what I want it to doe ;-)

But I have one more question:
what is the short code to program a button on the office phone so that it will not ask for ext number but for pin

You don't change the button, you delete the V123 (extn no.) entry in the users source numbers you want this for.

removed it and programmed *17
Now VM will only ask for pin

THX for your help!!!

don't use short codes on buttons use the correct feature (voicemail collect)

the standard msg button on the phone should be all thats needed anyway

* given for the comments about intuity mode

If you have VM Pro then at the default "leave" start point just add a "get mail" action and leave the VXXX code under the users source numbers settings.
Then with Intuity mode at first access you have to change the voicemail login code and speak your name, any subsequent access will give you direct access without a login code just the same as IP Office mode.
So the VM will prompt "<your name> There are ( x or no ) new messages".

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

I just reprogrammed the button
advanced->voicemail->voicemailcollect and left phone number blank
no short code anymore
It does work perfect no!

Thank you again everyone for help!

So I set this up for my manager but he is still be asked for his access code

He calls his office phone from his cell
Office phone rings (1416, will be forwarded to his cell (with office number 1400) and than to his voicemail
I guess the problem is that the CLI is because of the forwarding 1400

How can I avoid that?
Is it maybe possible that if he calls his office phone that he will be forwarded directly to his voicemail? So that he doesn't has to wait the couple seconds to ring, forwarding and maybe even to avoid pressing 8?

Read my reply, it has the answer....

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

That does work BUT if now anybody calls who is not a "trusted location" will be asked for a code and he will not be forwarded to the voicemail
Which means he cannot leave a message

setup a DDI with a destination of Voicemail

if the call is from a cli that a user has programmed as a secure location it will take them straight into their mailbox otherwise it will prompt for extn & password.

I would usually use the last ddi in the range or any other easy to remember number.
