Trunk SIP : forward CALL => no voice ! 1

Hi,

I'm french, sorry for my english ;)

I have a IPO500 V5.0.18 with a sip trunk for in/out call.

My problem is :
- When i forward a internal call to outside phone (ex : GSM) : OK
- When i forward a call manually to outside phone (ex : GSM) : OK
- When i have a auto forward of a internal phone, to outside phone (ex : GSM), it's ONLY if the call is a internal call.

- When i have a auto forward of a internal phone, to outside phone (ex : GSM), and IF the original call is a external call (ex : GSM or another), i have a no voice and the phone hang up (20sec)

Help me please !!
 
I've never tried it on any release except 6.0.8. I don't want to speak for him, but I believe Jeff from these boards said it worked on version 5. But, again, don't quote me on that.

My provider is Broadvox.
 
Hey guys... the SIP forward issue i have a Avaya tier4 is with R6. And it started with the beta2 release. I down graded my system and it works fine. It is an issue in R6 not R5. So I think he is having another issue. Sounds like a dickfor...

We do not have a standalone firewall at this location. There is a small 4 port Dynex router they use. There are no restrictions on the Dynex setup, it has full access to the internet.

Remember, I can forward to another SIP provider trunk, I just cannot forward the call back over the same SIP carrier.

No Upgrade in the near future.

We are experiencing the same issue with 4.2. Main inbound trunk with individual DIDs is SIP. If the user forwards their extension to an outside number using the SIP trunk, the forwarded inbound call completes via SIP set-up, but with no audio. To work around this (until we get a solution) the users are forwarding their extensions out the T1 circuits. We will be working with our SIP provider within the next week or two to take a good look at what is happening with the RTP flow (if there is any!!!).
 
I've seen this exact behavior since 4.x release. Mutiple SIP providers, etc. I finally narrowed the problem down to the firewall, in my case Sonicwall. I've had a case open with Sonicwall for 2 years (yes, 2 years).

Here are some work-arounds you can try, all worked for me, try just one:

1. Go to "System", select LAN1 (or LAN2), then the "Network Topology" tab and put a value of 20 to 30 in "binding refresh time".

-or-

2. Configure a public IP on LAN8/WAN on the IPO and use IP Route to send your calls out that way. Besure to select "OPEN INTERNET" for the Firewall/NAT type"

-or-

3. Route your "second leg" out a different SIP provider. You can set your self up with a cheap callcentric number to do testing.
 
Bas1234 : I have only SIP (no bri, no gateway gsm).

I dont have number in "source number" but in tab "function code" in params users. I try to fix the line group id in this tab "function code" but same problem.

I must forward call with trunk SIP.
I try to add a another trunk SIP, but there are 2 trunks SIP of the same provider so it's same public IP, and IP500 does not like very well.
 
another question :

Can i add a second line SIP of the same provider (so same IP public : 2 same IP ITSP adress ) because "MANAGER" display a warning message ?
 
No unless you upgrade to 6.0.8
Then you are allowed to do that but the upgrade will cost money!!!
Without a license you can not make any calls anymore!!!

I did not talk about bugs and forwarding!!!

I just told you that you can make a second trunk to the same ipaddress in 6.0.8
Every older version does not allow you to make a second sip trunk to the same ipaddress.

Get another cheap SIP trunk or 2 from CallCentric and use that to forwards calls out from. At least until the issue is fixed.

I subscribe callcentric and i add sip line on IPO500 v5.

I checked this :
calls inside use SIP Line n°1 : OK
calls outside use SIP of CallCentric : OK

BUT i same problem... :( it's crazy !

Make sure the short code you use to forward the extension is directing the call out the outbound line group id of the second SIP trunk. --Guess how I know about that :)--

I check short code, and i change this with the good ARS number, but same problem...

DavidCT : i put 30 in "binding refresh time".. same problem...

when i add a second line SIP with a another provider, and when i use this 2nd line SIP to forward call : its OK !!
 
I have upgrade my IPOV5 -> IPO V6 but i dont add second line with the same provider SIP (with same IP) !! its normal ?
 
Enter the sip settings in the Sip line tab.
In the tab Sip credentials you can enter the username, authentication name and password for every account you have for that ipaddress or isp.

So yes you can enter multiple account with one ipaddress.
