Hi,

I'm french, sorry for my english ;)

I have a IPO500 V5.0.18 with a sip trunk for in/out call.

My problem is :
- When i forward a internal call to outside phone (ex : GSM) : OK
- When i forward a call manually to outside phone (ex : GSM) : OK
- When i have a auto forward of a internal phone, to outside phone (ex : GSM), it's ONLY if the call is a internal call.

- When i have a auto forward of a internal phone, to outside phone (ex : GSM), and IF the original call is a external call (ex : GSM or another), i have a no voice and the phone hang up (20sec)

Help me please !!

Routing I guess.
Check your gateway and iproute in your ipoffice.

ACSS IP Office
APSS IP Office
APSS UC
ACA - Implement IP Telephony -- ACA - Design IP Telephony
ACA - Voice Services Management

I do not think this is a problem of routing. I have this problem at 2 clients with 2 different materials.
In addition, the incoming and outgoing calls work properly. the problem is really on a specific case, but widely used :

- When i have a auto forward of a internal phone, to outside phone (ex : GSM), and IF the original call is a external call (ex : GSM or another), i have a no voice and the phone hang up (20sec)

Is the GSM gateway connected to the system via analogue trunks? If so do you have "allow trunk to trunk connect" selected on the trunks :)

Or does (ex : GSM) mean something else? :)

Try opening The rtp ports on your firewall and sip ports

10000-20000 udp in sip
49152-53246 udp out pbx
5060/1 udp to pbx sip

I believe this is a bug in the software. There is another user on these boards, as well as myself, who cannot forward calls when forwarding SIP calls out the same SIP trunks.

It works from SIP to PRI/POTs
It works from SIP Provider A to a SIP Provider B
It DOESN'T work from SIP Provider A to SIP Provider A

Thank amriddle01 but :
Im not GSM gateway. ex => example..
I just wanted to say that this problem happens only when an external call ringing on a internal phone and it has an automatic transfer to a phone outside.

TheTaker : My connection internet have not a firewall, so all ports are open.

The firewall its on is it NAT aware?
IE if it is a pix does it have sip fixups set?

If its an asa has it SIP policy maps set?

Who is your provider out of interest. We have this issue too and we have one way of sorting this, put a public address on LAN2 and build a hardcore firewall profile on the IP office.

ACA - IPOffice implement
ACA - IP Telephony
CCNA - Passed at last

h382 : it's bug with IPO500 v5 ??? :-(

thetaker : the IPBX is in a private LAN, but no NAT and no port blocked.

We have it too.

No one takes responsibility for it. Avaya blames our SIP trunk provider and our Sip provider blames IP Office.

All post who you providors are, Avaya monitor these threads quite closely, that and all reporting it may open their eyes to the issue :)

maxence: I'm on 6.0.8

Jeff from these boards has a ticket open with Tier 4 at Avaya for this issue. I emailed him to have him check out this topic to give an update from them if he has one.

You're sending it out over the wrong ARS, check the users "source number" then the Line Group ID change it to the right ARS and try agian.

Bas1234 : yours sites are only SIP trunk (out/in call) ?
(so not bri,pri,analogic...just SIP)

We have BRI and SIP and mobile Gateways, Have you tried the above i've suggested?
