I am having trouble interfacing to a Simplex 5110. i have programed a WAT route with a Trunk on a XUT card.
See RDB and TN below:
when i dial the access code for the route i get dial tone from the Simplex system, i need to be able to dial "#110" if it works correctly i would get a confirmation tone and be able to page. what is happening is if i dial the #110 as soon as i get dial tone i get no confirmation tone and can not page, if i wait several seconds after getting dial tone before dialing the #110 i do get confirmation tone and can page. how can i remove this delay?

no it is CTD I changed it to UNR however there is still a delay before I can dial the #110 and have it work.

When I do an enhanced trace if i dial the "#110" after the call shows "Established" i get confirmation tone and can page.
dialing "##110" does not work

If I dial "#110" as soon as i hear dial tone, the "#" breaks the dial tone however I do not get the confirmation tone and can't page.
Enhanced trace shows that i dialed the "#110"

However if I wait before dialing the "#110" until after the call shows established the enhanced call trace does not show the digits dialed.

Pretty sure it's one of the timers in the RDB

With MANO = NO

1. dial 1721
2. get tone from page controller
3. dial #110
4. does not break tone, can't page

if i wait several seconds after getting the tone before dialing then it breaks the tone gives confirmation tone and i can page

still a delay

Look in your CDB at these prompts

DTMF End-to-End Signaling feedback tone ees-19
(NO) Use the improved EES for single tone
feedback
YES Use the current EES for DTMF feedback tone

and

EEST End-to-End Signaling Tone to originating party ees-19
(NO) No feedback tone to the originator
YES Send feedback tone to originator
When EEST = NO or when EEST = YES and
DTMF = NO, Improved End-to-End Signaling
is used. When EEST = YES and DTMF = YES,
Enhanced End-to-End Signaling is used.
EEST is prompted with End-to-End Signaling
(EES) package 10.

I'm guessing you cant break the dial tone until the timer starts on the phone, correct?

I can with MANO= YES

I just change the following timers in the RDB

OOD = 1
LEXT = 100

now after I get the tone, if i dial the #110 i get confirmation tone and can page if i pause for a fraction of a second between "#" and the "110"

this may actually work

That #110 is a strange dialing sequence for a zone page unit

The Simplex system is used be security as well as zone paging, they only want to be able to do the all call from the CS1000 according to the documentation i found most of the commands for this system start with the "#" sign which i find very strange. however if looks like i have it in a workable configuration now.

Thanks
