Another way to have this that may help if she needs to put alot of people into voicemail would be to just have a short code of # that goes to VM menu with extensions as availible touch tones that are pointed to a leave mail action. This way all users can have it, but is is not one button.
I have set-up Direct Voicemail using the method kflounders has mentioned above many times and it works great. That way you don't need to set-up a short code for every extension. As long as you are utilizing vm pro, you can create a single short code and then put that short code on a button as a dial action.
I agree Mike. I do the same thing and it works like a champ, but I use # instead of "7." I think that's what kflounders was trying to communicate is the same method, but using the pound sign.
I am pleasantly supprised that mikes solution works, The VM usaaly expects a Name not a number in the short code field.
Im sure it did not work on earlyer software but could be wrong. I hope this is somthing that Avaya have decided to add, raher than a bug that the may correct at a later date.
I first set this up on rel 1.4 - found that I needed 7XXX instead of 7N to make it work. I just wish I could use it in conjunction with an existing "User" button (i.e. press Trnsf + 7 + press existing user button). If anyone figures this one out, let me know!
User 200 can collect the Vocicemail from user 210.
If there is a voicemail for user 210 he can collect it from his own phone. What I want is that user 200 can collect the voicemail from user 210 from his own phone, whitout having to giva any extentionnumber nor a password, just one click of a button! (Or a shotcode)
------
I have figured out the above whit use of Trusted Numbers.
Now I got another problem, how is it posible to do the above but now whit a Huntgroup-voicemail, again whit just one click of a button!
