I have a MICS 5.0 with DID cards. I would like to have one of my DID numbers forward to a cell phone. This way when the person leaves the company I keep the phone number, and all calls on the cell phone are incoming and free. According to the cell phone contract.

Thanks

How To Externally Call Forward a Phone:
You must have at least 4.1 software to execute this feature.

Build a Route
Services – Show
Ringing Service – Next to
Routing Service – Show
Routes – Show
Show Route: 001 – Show
Dialout: No Numbr – Leave alone – Next
Use: ( ) – Change to Pool B (we’ll change it back to pool A after building the dest code.)
DN Type: Public

Build a Destination Code:
Routing Service – Show
Routes – Next
Dest Codes – Show
Show destcode: - Add
DstCode: (enter code) – OK
Normal: 000 – Change to route built – Show
AbsorbLength: ALL
Don’t have to worry about Night schedule etc.

Go back into the Route 001 and change Use: Pool B to Use: Pool A

Make sure the phone has Allow Redirect set to Yes and that you’ve allowed it access to the line pool you’re using.

Then simply walk up to the phone and press
Call Forward Button or Feature 4
Dial the destination code + phone number.

All calls that ring on the phone will be forwarded! All calls, including IC calls. So if you want one particular line to be forwarded but not others, simply program ONLY that line to appear & ring on the set.

Can you do this without having to hook up a set?

TELECOMMUTING GUEST MAILBOX SCENARIO
SCENARIO: A salesperson is often on the road and has no extension at the home office. The sales person needs to receive business call messages and will be given a DID line if it is possible to program with a mailbox. This system is a Norstar® MICS 4.1 with a NAM II voicemail 4.0.

Line Programming
1. Build a Target line, example: 145
2. Enter customer received digits, example: 4598
3. Prime Set: None

Hunt Group Programming
4. Select a Hunt Group number (1-30)
5. Accept the default Hunt Group Extension that is associated with the Hunt Group number or make a new one.
6. Add a Member DN to be that of the NAM Voicemail DN.
7. Under Line Assignment, assign the Target Line to the Hunt Group.
8. Shorten the Time Out Que to be the lowest, 15 seconds (default = 60)
9. Make the Overflow extension to be the NAM Voicemail DN.

Mailbox Programming
10. ADD a guest mailbox
11. Make the Extension of the mailbox to be the Hunt Group Extension. MRoberts

((Too quick on that submit button [tongue]))

So after you do the above you could have the guy's mailbox do an Outbound transfer to his cell phone. "Hi this is Jake, I'm on the road, press 7 to be transferred to my cell phone."

Okay that's kinda suggestive! I was trying for the Emoticon and it just didn't work. ;-) MRoberts

Well in a forum that can be dry at times....it breaks up the day to see something funny.

No you can not forward A DID call without an actual Physical Extension # such as a Norstar Phone or an Analog Station Port, so If you have an MICS 5.0 Take the DID # Target Line and assign it to ring only on your extension which in turn is call forwarded to your cell phone. By setting up call forward System Wide.

If you have to go into System Programming,
Access Codes,
Set Line Pool Codes and External code to None
Go back to Routing
Set up route 001 Dial out 9
Hit Heading
Go back to routes then next to dest codes
Add 9 and tell it to use route 001
Go back to route 001 and remove the dial out of 9
Make sure your sets have allow redirect set to yes
and all your lines for outbound calling are supervised
and in the pool you designate for route 001.
