Hello I need to do a trac on a cdn to see if the cdn is working correctly. I want to dial a number which gets placed to a cdn on my nortel 11c switch and the controlled by symposium (cc6) is there any way of tracing a call on the nortel switch? is there also ay way of carry out a stat on the d channels which the call will be using?
many Thanks

I am by no means an expert, but I have futzed around with this for my call centers.

Make a call from a digital phone on the switch, making sure you know the TN of the set. Go into LD80, dial the CDN then TRAD the phone's TN. That should tell you what you need. You can do the same going outbound-inbound by dialing the number as if you were calling from outside.

If you use an analog set, I think the LD80 is TRAK.

Hope this helps!

trad is for digital trunks only,, trac on larger platform trak on smaller... best bet

ld 80
entc 4 0 4 14 0100
gotr

that will trace that tn for one hour, starting at the gotr return... you can dial the cdn and watch the call progress.. should be the same as trac the cdn..

cdn's are pretty simple usually, dial the cdn and the dfdn rings.. is this synposium related
