Working on upgrading form Access 2000 to 2007 and coming across some issues with totals on some subforms. We have a main form which display Batch Header information then a Batch Detail subform which shows the details. That all works fine but on the form footer of the subform, we show detail totals just by doing field like =Sum([Dollars]) which is just a field from detail section on subform. If we open the subform by itself, it displays fine but when trying to open main form, it gives #Error in the total fields. This works fine under Access 2000 but not in 2007. Thanks, Joe

I haven't used Access 2007 much but I'd first make sure the text box (or other control) has a different name than the field in the detail section and see if that makes a difference.

Update: I think it might have had something to do with no master and child field link between 2 forms. Not sure why because all totals on subform are based on subform fields. I was told originally that this was happening every time but found out later, it not all the time but since Access 2007, it has been happen a lot more often. So, since not link, it was not loading quick enough sometimes or something other intermittent condition was happening when loading form.
