Hi all,

I am trying to use TM 3.2 to change the CLID value of multiple digital phones at once. I select the sets and then edit.

I set the Edit Specification to KEYGUPD - Key and set it to Key 0.
Old Value SCR
DN *
CLID 0

New Value SCR
DN *
CLID 15

I add the change, select it and Submit. The next window tells me the number of records selected but that none are updated. If I press submit, I get:

Warning: The task is not scheduled as the selected sets do not have any pending configuration to be transmitted.

Previous, I tried to change the CLID entry only. It scheduled the task but only makes the change on the few analog sets we have.

As anyone have to make a change like this? I would really hate to do that change 1 set at a time...I have over 2000:(

Thanks in advance for any help!

Have no answer but a similar issue:

How to global update many phantom ports in TM?
From: FTR DCFW 6 123456
To: FTR DCFW 4 5678

This can be done in OTM 2.20 via
FTRGUPD
Old Value: DCFW
6
*
New Value: DCFW
4
5678

In TM the same warning as above is displayed.

Doing the 'KEYGUPD' global update as you describe works fine in OTM 2.20 but never got something that to work in any TM version.

Hope someone got an answer on this issues..
(and downgrading to OTM is not an answer for me..)

run a report on phones
choose headings
TN,INSTRUMENT,CUSTOMER,DES,CLID_ENTRY,FTR_DCFW,SYNCSTATUS
save report AS CSV
open and change
FTR_DCFW
DCFW<SPACE>4<SPACE>NUMBER
HIGHLIGHT FTR_DCFW COLUMN
USE FIND AND REPLACE
FIND DCFW<SPACE>4
REPLACE DCFW<SPACE>6

CLID_ENTRY
KEY1<SPACE>SCR<SPACE>0<SPACE>KEY0<SPACE>SCR<SPACE>0
HIGHLIGHT CLID_ENTRY COLUMN
USE FIND AND REPLACE
FIND SCR<SPACE>0
REPLACE SCR<SPACE>15

HIGHLIGHT SYNCSTATUS COLUMN
FIND TRANSMITTED
REPLACE CHANGE

SAVE AS CSV

TM IMPORT FILE

AFTER IMPORT SEARCH FOR SYNCSTATUS = CHANGE

suggest trying 1 phone first.
report/change/import -- good to use

Thanks for your help sidetech! I just tried it and it worked like a charm. This will save me a lot of work.
