Is it possible to have multiple time profiles
i.e.
Winter
8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday
8am - 4pm Friday

Summer (1st April - 30th Sept)
8am - 5pm Monday to Friday
8am - 12noon Saturday

If possible any clues on how you configure for individual hunt groups

Thanks

Multiple time profiles isn't a problem, but as I understand it you would have to route calls into VMPro, using the conditions editor to set up Winter & Summer, the output of this would be sent to the appropriate Hunt Group, and you would need 2 groups with identical users, 1 using the winter time profile, the other using the summer profile.
Although if there is a neater way, I'm sure someone will 'put me right'!!

Thanks Nick - Is it ok to assume that a individual time profiles for Monday through to Thursday, Friday, and Sat/ Sun is possible on the Main group number along with hunt group numbers

Use the condition editor to establish dates and hours that you are closed, and just send the calles to VMPro as you do with night calls. one set of users!

Within each time Profile you can set your requirements.
I'm presuming your going to have some VM messaging for your Out of Hours, so you would need a working hours profile and an Out of Hours profile for Winter & Summer (4 profiles)

Winter Day

08.00 to 17.00 MonTueWedThur
08.00 to 16.00 Fri

Winter OoH
17.01 to 23.59 MonTueWedThur
16.01 to 23.59 Fri
00.00 to 07.59 MonTueWedThurFri
00.00 to 23.59 SatSun

So your Main Group time Profile is set to Winter Day, and the night service destination set to your Out of Hours hunt Group that has your VM message on it.
Your Out of Hours hunt Group has Winter OoH time profile.

If you then repeated the profiles for summer time, and duplicated your Hunt Groups, routing calls through VM using the conditions editor would pass them into the correct Time Profile for the correct time of year.

One thing to remember is if you use automatic time profiles, but have to set Night Service / Out of Hours manually with a short code, the time profile WILL NOT automatically bring the system back to Day mode.

There are probably many Guru's here who can streamline what I've outlined, in which case i may be changing my config, but this works as we use it and we have 22 active time profiles running, with conditions editor on at least half of them!
Hope this helps.

There we go you see ... I knew there would be a neater easier way of doing it!!!! :)
Funny how the simplest things pass you by at times!! Doh!

What's the approach if you don't have VM Pro ?

Just use a time profile in the incoming call routes and ask the customer to send a P.O. for a remote programme change.

After all its only a small system thats why it does not cater for a holiday plan.

Is the following configuration possible without VM Pro

8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday
8am - 4pm Friday

You can have as many time profiles as you like.

BUT - you can only attach any 2 to a hunt group at a time (one for 'night' and the other for 'out of hours').

There is no calendar in the IPO - so dated changes aren't an option (are you looking Avaya?).

The time profile you asked for above is possible - you just need 2 'stages' in that particular profile (1 for Mon to Thu the other for Fri - and maybe something for Sat/Sun).

Remember - time profiles on the IPO are different to every other switch I've ever worked on. In other words - they are IN SERVICE times as opposed to Night/OOS times.

Don't forget you can set time profiles to incoming call routes now as well - so you could use a combination of the 3 to get your result (although it will take some flow-charting before hand).

Hope that helps :)

I must be missing something, how do you use a time profile to set out of service on a group? I though this option was manual only.

As many diferent time segments as necessary can be added into a time profile. for holidays I recomend that the customer manualy activates N/S & cancels it when the holiday is over (time profilles will not affect manual settings)

Whoops - you're quite right - I'll go and sit in the corner now (puts 'D' hat on).

It is only ONE time profile per hunt group - giving you 2 with the incoming destination one.

dang, I was hoping you had a new trick for me :-(

it is worth remembering thet you can add a time profile to the fallback group(s) as well

eg Grp 1 goes into n/s at 13:00 & calls go to PM group
PM group goes into n/s at 17:00 & calls then go to N/S

I have used setups like this when a cust wanted to answer calls in the office 1/2 hour either side of reception opening, then divert to VM without useres needing to muck about going in & out of group.
