HI all,

I'm new to the IP office but have been trying to learn as much as I can about it.

Currently we have our system set up with a single hunt group, no one is in the hunt group (so phones don't ring), and it was setup to go to the automated attendant after 2 rings.

What we'd like to do is have a "night mode" where some or all phones ring, say between 6pm and 7am. I was thinking about creating a second hunt group then using a time profile to make it active bewtwwn those hours, but I can't really seem to make it work. Am I overthinking this?

I can't imagine this is an uncommon request.

Thanks.

What versions are you running?
EVM, VMPro, VMLite?

When a call hits a group and goes to V/M it will always go to the target groups voicemail even if it has a different Night Service destination.

What I would do is put the group in Night Service (Time Profile or Manual) and then put a Call Status Routing action under the Leave start Point. Point No Answer and Busy at the AA stuff you already have and then Out Of Hours to your Night Service options.

Football is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

If your "Night Hours" (6pm - 7am) will remain consitent you can build a Time Profile in the main configuration and call it Night. Then assign that time profile to the Incomming call route and make your Night Destination the 2nd Hunt Group you create. This will then have it's own coverage path for voicemail, so you may have to create a coverage destination in VM Pro - Hunt Groups and route it where ever it should go if somewhere other than a group mailbox.

Also, when you create your time profile, the time can't go "overnight" from one day to another. You have to create one line item for 18:00-23:59 M-F; 00:00-07:59 M-F if you open at 8am.

Worth noting that is you use time profiles in the ICR's then it cannot be manually overidden
