Hello,

I have a CS1K 7.0 tie trunked to a CS1K 7.5. When calling from the 7.0 site to 7.5, watching d-channel monitoring, it is inserting 104 in front of all my calls and I can't figure out why. I have checked the CDP to RLB with no DMI table inserting digits. I checked the route and there isn't anything for the INST prompt. I took a look at ESN and only using AC1, which is 9 for outside access. What am I missing? I"m sure it is something simple.

It could be a Zone Dialing Prefix

LD 117
prt zdp

I checke the zone dialing and there isn't anything setup for that. 2 zones and they are both disabled and blank for config.

So are these digital and analog phones calling from the 7.0 site to the 7.5 site via CDP and you are seeing 104 xxxx on the d-channel messaging at the 7.5 site?

That is exactly it.

I'm running into an issue with about 5% of the calls getting over to the 7.5 site and it doesn't drop the 104 and then get a recording saying "You have reached an unassigned number". Thinking that if I drop the 104 I'll get rid of the issue.

Nothing for teh HLOC or LOC in LD 90.

Check the DSEL prompt in your Route Data Block RDB on both switches. They should both be VOD or 3VCE. They need to match. VOD inserts the extra digits. If the other end is 3VCE it does not know what to do with the extra digits.

I see 104xxxx leaving both the 7.0 and 7.5 site but there is nothing in the IDC table, on either site, that matches with the DN range, or shows up as 104.
I looked over the 7.5 site and can't see where it's getting inserted.

Ha, the 7.5 site is VOD and the 7.0 site is 3VCE. Can I make that change without outing the route members? Or is this afterhours tear down and rebuild?

And which way should I go? VOD or 3VCE?

You can make the change without it affecting service.

Made the change so both routes are 3VCE and still getting the 104 inserted before the extension. What the heck......

Just in case I missed something here is the call flow, (CDP, RLB, DGT and Route prinouts) if I diall 5500, voicemail, from the 7.0 site.

Try a call by dialing the ACOD of the route, then the number at the other end.
