TIE NORTEL OPTION 11c WITH AVAYA IP IP500 via T1 1

I need some assistance I am doing a tie between a Nortel Option 11c Box and a IP 500 via a T1 I am able to dial Extensions across both systems but I am having a difficulty in accessing the trunks on the Avaya to dial outside.. I am seeing the digits coming in but not routing to the destination.... Please advise.

Did you setup incomming call route for T1 en dialing shortcodes correctly?

do you dial 9. is your nortel sending 9 and then the number? you may need to have an incoming call route with 9xxxxxxx. use as many x's as your digit length and then the destination is just . THis may not be the right way to do it but i has always worked for me.

Yes I did setup a short code 9XXXXXXXXXX and point it to main, also had setup the incoming route with the destination pointing back to the short code. When I look at the system status on the AVAYA the T1 trunk is showing all the digits dialed from the Nortel but not sending any digits to the destination field.

did you try incoming call route with the 9xxxxxxxxxxx and the destination of . what that should do is take all the digits and then match against your system 9N code and send it to the ARS.

I am not following you with the destination field, what exactly are you saying I should populate the destination field with.

For the short code 9XXXXXXXXXX what should I placed in the telephone # field.

no short code needed. just an incoming call route. you should already have a short code with 9N. the line group on the call route will be the T1. then the incoming number will be 9xxxxxxxxxxx and the destination would be just a "." single period.
