IS-IT--Management
Hi all,
I have certain XP clients on my network that change their default location of "documents and settings\%username%\local settings\temp internet files" to "C:\WINDOWS\temp internet files".
This is annoying because standard domain users can't write to this directory.
Firstly, I would like to stop this from happening. If I can't do that, then I would like to have a script that will change it back that users can run, or that I can implement as a login script.
I wrote a script to change the value 'cache' in HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders", but this reverts back to WINDOWS\Temp when I open Internet Explorer.
Anyone?
Thanks for reading.
