Hello,

Our company is switching providers. We currently have a PRI circuit for all inbound and outbound calls.
The new provider is using SIP trunking which has been converted to a PRI using the following equipment:

ADVA FSP 150-GE114 Pro
ADVA FSP 150CC
Adtran NetVanta 6310

My problem is that when I connect their circuit to my PRI, the D-Link won't connect. The provider claims the circuit is configured to work exactly like the PRI we current are using and that they are using the following protocols:

User National ISDN Service (NI2)
Extended Superframe (ESF)
B8ZS / DTMF / Immediate Start

Can anyone shed some light on what might be the problem? Is there something I need to do on the PBX side first?

Thanks!

I usually request that the provider test their line in my presence to confirm it's working for outbound and inbound before connecting to my PBX. Anyway, can you log into the equipment and compare configs. Which of those devices is SIP to PRI converter? i use yeastar TE200 to do the same.

Thanks, Omonat... they claim it's fine on their end. But as soon as I connect it, the sync is fine, but the D-Link fails to establish. I tried strait cable, cross-over and T1 cross-over, to no avail.
I'm not sure which one of the ADVA does the converting.

I don’t know if the pri in the US is the same, have you tried to enable or disable the crc4 on the card settings. It will stop it coming up if not correct

Setting looks ok.
Try to enable/disable CRC4 like OBT has sugested.
Also check source of clock sysnc - PRI23 Line?

Yes, the clock sync priority is on the correct PRI.

OK, I'm feeling stupid ... where do I find CRC4 setting?

-Tom

If you have TDA0290X ( PRI23 card ) you havent CRC4 setting ( its for EU ISDN-PRI30 ).
You can make loopback self test ( short connect pin 1 with 4 and pin 2 with 5 ) if D-link and Sync LED is lit your settings is OK .
Check settings protcol data with provider, DTMF / Immediate Start is for T1 card (TDA0187 ) not for ISDN.

Thanks Kizo ... yes, I have the PRI23 card, so I guess I won't have that CRC4 setting.
I will contact the provider to see if they have the Immediate Start setting off.

Updating...

Our new vendor swapped out the AdTran 6310 unit with an AudioCode M1K, and we were able to fully establish a connection with their SIP-to-PRI circuit!
I'm just glad it wasn't something with our PBX.
Thank you guys for the help.
