Hello all,

I've hunted around with zero success for a download of YA Lite to scrounge the TAPI interface from it to test with the latest UCA 5.1 to enable us to dial from our CRM system (which uses IE - you click the numbers and it tells me there's no TAPI interface installed).

Are there any updates which will allows us to TAPI click to dial through this system with the 3300, UCA5.1 and TAPI?

Thanks,
James

There is now a free UCA Basic client, you will still need a server though. Maybe worth looking at.
I haven't had a chance to install or try it so not sure of its 'TAPI' capabilities.
It is based on UCA so hopefully it has better integration with apps than UCX.

Hi Sarond, I didn't know there was another client?! I know there's UC Express (which requires license key) and UC Advanced, I would've thought Advanced would provide this but sadly it does not.

Can you point me in the direction of The basic free version?

You would need to go through your Dealer/VAR, although the license is free it still needs to be ordered and applied through the AMC.
There is a part number for physical 54005963 and part number for virtual 54006039.
You would then install MAS and apply the license.

If UC Advanced doesn't provide the feature you are looking for then I doubt the UC Basic will. (I thought UCA had a TAPI driver)

Well, looking through all the documentation it seems to but it's a licensed feature (presumably it's included in the license, but it's a server-changeable option).

Ingenius provide one but I'm not sure how it works, and I don't really want to buy more licenses to an already expensive system!

I have YA-Lite (vers 3.09) in a zip file, but see that You Send It (dot com) is no longer available.

(otherwise I'd be posting a link for the download)

Would you be able to send it to me at
Mytektipshandle at gmail dot com

I would really appreciate it. I'm testing a demo license of ingenius and its not working particularly successfully.

Yousendit is now hightail - I believe it provides the same functionality though.

The ZIP file is 14 megs in size so not sure what will happen. GMAIL is chewing on it right now. You'll either receive it or you won't.

gorrit, thanks!!!!

I am buried in tech yet I never know how much an e-mail can handle these days - I generally say 20MB max but would cringe if I ever sent one that was over 2MB!!

I guess we now know that gmail can happily chew through 15 :D

If I am not mistaken the YA accessed some Microsoft TAPI drivers that no longer exist on Windows (7+). I don't believe that the uca basic gives you access to dial a phone directly. I believe that it only gives you chat and presence (although I could be mistaken on this). Let us know if you find anything though as I spent some time in the past trying to get something to work (no success).

I believe I have made this redundant now, the newest UCA (now 6 as of this morning) weren't the problem, our CRM was missing a plug which called the TAPI service. That in turn passed the info to UCA to dial.

It is clunky and works, just, so we're looking at the callto: solution with the ucadialer.exe program in the UCA folder:
