Im reading alot on the net about Tandberg and Avaya partnering up; has anyone got any info on whether the Avaya softphone in 6.1 is compatible with Tandberg, and is it possible to register a tandberg endpoint onto the IPO via sip?

Cheers

Tandberg are part of Cisco.

you sure your not confusing it with the recent acquisition by Avaya called Konftel?

Avaya Softphone video is only compatible with Avaya Softphone Video.
I have tried with goldstream videophones and some SIPvideo softphones on Android but no luck with the Avaya Video Softphone:(

You can register any SIP compatibel endpoint to the Avaya IP Office if you have a third party IP Endpoint license.
I successfully made a config with Robotix door videophone stations and Grandstream videophones to see who is calling at the door.

Intrigang: Thanks for the reply. Do you think the box can handle the h264 video sent by the tandberg devices? I mena, registrering 2 tandberg devices as 3rd part sip devices onto the IPO, and then be able to call between them?

To you other guys: No im talking about Tandberg, do a quick google search and you can find documents stating that they have a cooperation with Avaya. I just am curious what the are cooperating about! :)

Maybe the coffee is better in the Tanberg cantine?

I suppose that will work as the Grandstream phone do the same.
