I have a database on my local hard disk with many tables some local, some linked via a database on our LAN. Now I'm positive that the unlinked tables have absolutely NO relationship to those that are linked. Regardless of this fact...my UNLINKED/NON-RELATED tables are still accessing the network when I try to open them. I wouldn't be so concerned but when I'm opening a table with only a couple of hundred records and it takes me 10 - 20 seconds just to open it, I have to question it.
To test this, I made a copy of my DB and then deleted all the linked tables. Then when I tried to access my local tables they instantly opened...
Anyone have any clues why?
