T1 to PRI MICS

Cust has a straight T1 presently. They are moving and willl be installing a PRI in the new location.

I know they will need to purchase PRI enabler codes.
Besides that, is it easier to wipe out the system and start from scratch?

Any guidance on what changes to make would be nice

Is the T1 programmed for DID lines? Do you have a poop load of target lines? Will the rec'd digit length the same? This should help you decide if you want to start from scratch.

Another thing to consider is, what other programming would you need to re-create. Like page or pickup zones or starnge coverage or forwarding... I'd just program the target lines. At least I'd know exactly what I'm changing.

They are just using the T1 currently as in/out, no DID's. DID's will be on new PRI

I would reprogram the switch to match the extensions and DID's.
