I have finally got SSA 9.1 to work with Java. Although now it seems that I cannot pin SSA to the taskbar. Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!!
Michael

Ive had the exact same issue and not found a way to fix it, it's rather annoying isn't it :)

Heres a fix for it.

1. Locate your javaw.exe. In my case it is in C:\Windows\SysWOW64. In Java 1.8 it goes to C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.xx\bin by default.
2. Right click and create a shortcut to javaw.exe
3. Right click your shortcut and go to Properties
4. In the Target field, enter this(include the quotations): "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" -jar "C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\System Status\ssaviewer.jar"
5. If your javaw.exe is in a different folder then simply point the first path to that directory
6. Your shortcut will now open SSA and you can pin it to the taskbar. You can change the shortcut icon in the Properties menu if you want to.

I just point the shortcut to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\System Status\ssaviewer.jar"
The javaw.exe is in the search PATH so no need to use it in the shortcut, and somehow it starts faster this way.
