I am migrating a CS1000 to CM 8.1, they are using AC2 and the SSCL to access two System Speed Call lists each with 1000 entries. Is there any way to take care of such large lists in CM? Phones are mainly digital 9404 or 1416. As you can imagine this is a 3K user site and these lists are documented all over it so they want to keep the same access which is 6xxx (xxx=the SCL entry on their assigned list)

You can have 999 numbers in an abbreviated dial list. Maybe make 6 a Feature Access Code then 6xxx would get you to the entries.

what command allows you to set up a Abbreviated dial list with 999 entries? If I try and set over 100 it wont let me, am I just formating the command incorectly

its ok figured it out on page 2 of SYS Features you can set Abbreviated Enhanced to 4 digits then just create anything between 00 - 99 and can set each of those to 100 entries meaning you can have up to 10000 if you want. my confusion was that 6 lists were already set up and empty and didn't add more. thought it must be limited in some way, but it was just that they were previously configured as part of the default DB installed by the venor.

Assuming you wanted to dial 6xxx from a phone and have a call be placed. In this case 6 would be the abrv-dial list access code and xxx would be the 999 list entries. If you make your list 4 digits, you'll end up with 6xxxx which might not be what you wanted based on your original post.

Our site is multi location and serves all of EU then just G450 + LSPs at the sites, I was thinking more say location 7 assign 7000 - 7999 for example, then in Calltype Analysis say they want to use 6 as the access and the feature code is something like *56 I would just say in Calltype Analysis Location 7 that 6 with a length of 4, delete 1 and insert *567, that way I could have 10 or more site Abbreviated Dials depending on the size requirements as I can just use the first digit to pick out the relevant lists.

fell down a bit as translating in calltype does not allow you to go to the access code, so have a method Autodial set for *537 the dial further 3 digits hopefully they will go with that. As this is multi site I cannot assign the single number 6 they used in there stand alone site in the dialplan
