Was wandering if anyone has been able to send the scheduled reports to a txt file on the network onstead of a system printer. There are approx 50 reoprts that need to print and it would be nice to have them go to a txt file instead!

Any help would be great!

you can do that within ASA,by doing it there rather than on the switch.
Take the report option ,and route that to the .txt file option rather than a printer.
Each report can be scheduled as well...

If you don't have ASA, just capture the data back into a file, from the definity serial port on the switch, or send it to an IP socket port and capture it from there (v9.5 and up).

I've actually designed a system where a computer uses a macro program to run a list of reports and print them to a text file. Then once the macro is done one of my unix boxes picks up the file and parses it with a few perl scripts and rewrites it in html format and drop it in a web directory corresponding to the date it ran. It's a neat little system and actually right now im working on doing it all through mysql. I've got the data going into mysql my only issue is figuring out the formula's used for all the precentages on the reports. The initial system wasn't that hard to build just took a little thought. It is a real round about way of doing things but when your company doesn't like to spend money for anything it works.

Just set up a pc in place of a printer.
