System Events alarm setup

I haven't had to use the System Event feature that allows one to receive alerts so this is pretty much my 1st time. It seems pretty straight forward yet I'm not receiving email alerts for alarms that I'm triggering during testing.Does vmail to email have to be in place prior to using this feature ? I'm not finding much detail other than what the fields are under that tab in the Avaya docs. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thx.

No. I'm using the vmail to email setup through the VM Pro. I'm guessing that's what's missing ?

Right, the alarms use the build in email client in IP Office and not through VMPro
