I have an Avaya Definity running release 1.3. They haven't yet upgraded it to the new architecture.

This morning at 8:13 it jumped ahead an hour - the history shows login "auto" doing a set time.

I looked at the DST rules and they were late by a week for falling back (I fixed them), but that should have messed things up last Sunday, not causing a forward time change mid week mid day.

Has anyone seen this before? I fixed the system time, but would like to trust that it won't happen again.

Yes. This happened to us on a G3si running Def v9. Our situation went like this: Duplicated processor. Old rule in place at the time of the old time change(my bad). At 2:00AM on 10/28 "auto" set the time back 1 hour. Fair enough. Someone on our team noticed this and corrected it @ 8:15 later that morning. After a couple hours, the same tech checked the rules and corrected them to reflect the new DST req's.That was Sunday the 28th @ 10:13 AM. Exactly 24 hours later , at 10:13, "auto" jumped the time ahead 1 hour. We manually adjusted, and reported to AVAYA. Their only advice was to "Keep an eye on it - it should be ok now". They closed the ticket without further investigation the next day. We have been pushing for answers ever since. WIth the new rule in place, the change went fine on 11/4. So far, system time has remained unchanged. Still, I share your concern that it might happen again - it made a mess of our CMS interval reports for that day! We wondered if the duplicated processors could be involved, as we do an interchange during the maintenance window each night, and we had no probs with our other v9 G3si's that are not duplicated. If I get any word from AVAYA, I'll post it. -George
