All,
TIA. We have a new client with an SX200 ELx. The printer port does not seem to work on the main cabinet. The system has three bays, so we switched Bay 1 with Bay 2. (Swapped all cards, BCC, Stratum III, etc, and fired it back up.) After swapping cards, the system came back online with no problem. However, we still cannot get the call accounting to work off of the printer port. The baud rates are set correctly, and the data in form 34 is correct. The call accounting is a Synectix PMS Lite.
On the call accounting, there are two indicator lights that illuminate when the serial connection is good. We have tried null modems, different cables, adjusting baud rates on the call accounting an on the Mitel, (port speed in Maintenance), to no avail.
The system had taken a lighting hit a few months ago. The InnLine 2020 voice mail was blasted, so was the TEL call accounting, and the Equinox serial adapter for interfaces. All have been replaced and are working, except for the call accounting. It all seems to be related to the printer port.
When connecting the SMDR cable to a printer port on a PerBay, the call accounting indicates that it is a good connection. But, printer ports on PerBays do not work, the only woring port on an SX200 is on the main cabinet. (everybody knows that). My question is, does anyone know if the printer port is controlled directly by the Stratum? Do you think it could be damaged?
Does anyone have any ideas on a work around? Should I move the call accounting and try to use the printer port on the back of the console? Will SMDR go through the port on the console?
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
