Hi there,

We recently discovered that our housekeepers can dial a "code" to change the room from Dirty Vacant to Clean Vacant or what have you. We use the Opera Xpress version and we were hoping that someone could help us with this. When the property was taken over a few years ago, everything with the old team went with it. So it's almost as if we are just starting over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Hopefully you were able to get the system username and password of the PBX from the previous owners. Log into the system and go into the Feature Access Code Form. There, search for the code: Maid In Room. You can use the one listed or change it to whatever you like. The system only has the Maid In Room code. It's just a prefix that is entered into a room phone by the Maid. The room status codes proceed the Maid In Room code. For example, a maid wants to change the status of a room from occupied dirty to occupied clean.
They pick up the phone handset, enter the Maid In Room code followed by the room status code: XXYY.

Room status codes are provided by the PMS provider (Opera).

If you do not have the username and password for the PBX, you will need to contact a local Mitel partner.
