All,

The maids do not appear to be able to set guest room status' from the guest room phones. They can be set from the 5540 console. The settings are:
Occ/Clean RM
Res/Clean Rm
Vac/Clean Rm
Vac/Dirty Rm
Out of Service
Occupied/Dirty Rm

I assumed these room status' were default feature access codes in form 02. I see no such FACs. The only one I see is feature 35, Maid In Room. It is enabled. Is there a way to set up FACs for these six room status' so that maids can use them to set/change the status of rooms?

Thanks

Which option is enabled in system options
- 107 Lodging or 108 PMS?

Is Room Status Enabled in the COS of the rooms?

I know of an issue where a system is set up for PMS and then someone adds licenses via the MOC code which reverts the system option to 107 instead of 108. This prevents Maid In room codes from working but the PMS still continues to funtion.

PMS Enabled
Do you mean "Room Status Applies"?

Yes room status applies. (I don't think this matters if PMS is enabled)

Maybe the issue is that you do not know that the maid in room code (option 35) is dialed followed by a single digit to define what status applies

1 = Maid Present
2 = clean
3 = not clean
4 = out of service
5 = to be inspected
6-9 = Optional codes

The above meanings are specific to the Mitel only. If a property management system is involved, the final digit can be whatever the PMS system wants it to be.

The status sent to the PMS is simply STS followed by the single digit then followed by the extension number
e.g.
STS1 123

The PMS system can interpret that digit anyway it wants to.

if you have option 108 enabled you should disable:
system options form 4 options 27, 33 and 34 - room status
in form 3 the rooms cos option 244 and 608
