Hi,
I need to swap 2-port analog card with 8-port analog card. Also I need to move PRI daughter card from 2-port to 8-port card.
I would be very appreciated if you give me advice(s) how to swap the cards correctly. Steps and precautions.
I don't have any details, it is my upcoming job for one client.
2-port card has extensions created for this card as I assume. Will the new 8-port card reassign these two extensions for itself automatically or the system will create new extensions?
What about PRI channels that already exists.
Thank you.

no big deal really, the extensions you have right now will still be on the same two first ports on the 8 port card and the PRI will still have the same line ID. All you have is afterwards 6 additional analog ports. The extension ID's are selected by the system and it leaves room for bigger cards so that there is no shuffling around needed should you install a larger card but the additional ports are added on. Same is for expansion modules, if you replace a 16 port with a 30 port it has enough room to not push back any additional ports after that.
I hope I make sense as I am tired.
