Swapped out SSC card and need to rebuilt from scratch

So, I've swapped my SSC card Rel 23.55 for another with SC1000 Rel 4.5

That's the only change I've made in the cabinet - I've trying to rebuild my sets, however, I keep getting ERR5112. Then it enables the card and gives me ERR5115, but the card is not enabled.

As a matter of fact, none of the card seem to be working, so it's there something that I should do?

This replacement SSC card was obviously configured differently when it was pulled from working service - I don't want to do a re-install of the software - I just want to re-config as I go along.

Suggestions?

Shawn

I'm assuming that the SSC (4.5w)card that you replaced had a daughterboard and that you didn't swap over the 23.55 daughterboard onto it?.

If you did, then you will need to re enter in the keycodes.
You might want to refer to part of my restore guide.

OK assuming that you can log in OK, It's a good idea to try and print out the keycode history.
Go into LD 143 from TTY 0.
Key in upgrade and then select 3 Utilities.

It might be that the keycodes will still have to be re entered. Can you send us the Dongle ID or "TID" please?.

As Buddy has stated, we can't be certain what the correct parameters are. However, I would suggest that you follow part of my guide that explains how to enter in the keycodes. I think they will need to be re entered again using the ISM parameters that are listed under ISM.

What we don't know is the feature set, the dongle has or the number of extra packages, but you could check this first against the "Current Installation Summary" details in LD 143.

until you get it to a point that it will edd, no need to build anything you need past the next power cycle..

but past that i would back out all line cards, stat 2, out the sets, build one set and get it working.. might check your cequ to get a hint as to pri/t1's..

thanks - will dive into it a little later -

question though - does the password change (ADMIN2) completed in LD17 save immediately or does it need to be in my midnight routine?

if in the routine, what overlay is it?

everytime I reboot this, I need to reset the password in PDT. (even though I've run the MIDN)

thanks

Shawn

Any thoughts in the following?

CONTROL-I entered. Invoking install setup program from SW Delivery Card.
DRAMOS load from SW Delivery Card failed.

nope.

LOL

but you know, i see the keycodes in the SLT, and functionally, every thing i try to program works fine from a software perspective, so I'm not really understanding why re-entering the keycodes would change anything

the inventory say I have enough licences for what I'm doing -

isn't there a way to 'unassign' a card and 'reassign it'?

but what do I know :)

The problem might just be a simple case of your dongle not being seated correctly on the SSC card. I had this problem and I had to close the metal prong where it is fitted to make it a tighter fit and provide a better connection.

It's worth giving it a try?.

Nope - no luck.

I took the dongle out and got an error message that it wasn't installed when I booted up.

When reinserted, does the same as before.

Crap!

So, next step.

I tried to reinstall the software and it donesn't seem to recognize the card.

I plug the card into my laptop and all the files are there but thought perhaps it wasnt formatted correctly.

Following the instructions in faq798-6238, I formatted in DOS accordingly, but it still doesn't recognize the card.

The flash card contains
<dir> BOOTROM
<dir> DFLT_DB
<dir> P
DRAMOS
DRAMOS.SYM
DRAMOSCC.SYM
NA-CALA_450w_R17.EXE
README.TXT

Am I missing any files?

ugh.

wish I had done that before I formatted the card -

I just tried formatting the card using the PDT - copied the files back on still won't load the software

Insert Software Delivery Card and enter CONTROL-I.
CONTROL-I entered. DRAMOS loading from SW Delivery Card.
DRAMOS load from SW Delivery Card failed.
Verifying Diskos.
Attempt to run Diskos: MIB is invalid.
Operating system not loaded.
Insert Software Delivery Card and enter CONTROL-I.

Any way to get a copy a compact flash card with CS1000BOOT files without having to go to Nortel or a vendor?
